I figured I would start this thread as there appears to be little or no information on this service(unless I am in the wrong place).

Wondering if Dish ever began selling the dual-tuner receivers with this service?

Or if one could by more than one receiver with this service?

Also, can a person start/stop anytime they want? In other words let the current pre-paid card run out, and start again at a later date?

It appears that way, but I am not sure.

Also, if you can just change your channel lineup after the card runs out, and before you start a new one?

I can't think of anything else.

But if anyone has this service, please give your thoughts, pros/cons on the service as a whole.

I would like to know.

Am strongly considering going this route, and being in total control of the service, with no contracts/bills/or anything from them.

Yes.

Nope. The card is valid for X number of days, used/watched or not. After that you're SOL.

You have very little control of the programming, or subscription options as a whole. This is more a value for customers that don't qualify or don't have/give their SSN's out.

Are you familiar with the service?

It appears, according to their website, that after the pre-paid card runs out, you just install(call-in) another card. At that time you can change the programming channel lineup, but not while the card is in use.

They give a listing of the amount of time a card provides($30 or $40 incremments) with each different level of service.

Also, if you wanted too, you could even just sign up for HBO, and get that permium, or another one, at 60-80 days, for that alone.

They word it out like you can change your channel line-up(after the card runs out) by going up or down in service.

The answer to my 3rd question doen't make sense. I understand that you are LOCKED IN during the period in which the card is in use, but you don't HAVE TO add another card immediately, unless you want to continue the current service.

But, let's say 2 months later, you can buy another card, and start again.

I must be reading their website wrong, or they are providing false information.

Also, you can buy multiple receivers(301d) and attach it to the 1 Dish500 dish without having to connect it to a phone line?

Trying to get info from their CSR's is useless, and their online question e-mail service is just as bad.

Got two totally diffrent sets of answers to the same questions from two different people.

Thanks Zero327 for answering though.
