I switched from E* to D* on Wednesday and when I called to cancel E* the CSR said I didn't owe anything. The problem is that I checked my last bill and noticed that I was paid through May 11th so I contacted them yesterday about a prorated refund. They researched my account and told me I would be getting a refund of $70.00 What I'm curious about is if I hadn't contacted them about the refund would I even be getting it? I'm not trying to pass judgment, but I'm really curious. Thanks:confused:

I don't know if this is common but I found it almost impossible to get a refund when I moved to a different house and my roommate started service under his name. The confusion seemed to be related to the fact that their system can't handle sending a refund to a previous customer to an address that currently has service. I spent hours on hold and argueing with CSRs. They told me I was going to get a paper check for a refund, but every time I called they just kept saying to check with my bank as if it would be done electronically. I got nowhere until I found a customer service phone number on the Better Business Bureau's web site which went to some Executive Resolutions Team at Dish and they finally got it done.
I copied the check and it's hanging in my cube at work because I worked so hard to get it. It was a whopping $17.
The phone number I was talking about was no longer on the web site the last time I checked but my guess is that it's the same people that ceo@dishnetwork.com (I think that's the address) goes to. I'll be sending them an email soon because I haven't received my dish'n it up rebate after 6 months and the CSRs can't tell me anything.

I too am having problems getting my $50 rebate for DISH'n it up. I sent the paperwork and when no rebate appeared on my bill I called. The CSR told me to wait one more billing cycle. I called today, about 3 months later, and they tell me they have no record of anything ever being sent to them, and that the rebate info I sent them may have gotten lost in the mail. They gave me a new address to send the information to in El Paso, TX. How did you make out with your problem, mdewitt? Anyone else have DISH'n it up rebate problems? Any suggestions? This is ridiculous.
