I've recently noticed (and I have the latest national release) that I'm getting audio drop-outs if I mess around with the FF/RW controls. If I get a bit behind and then use FF to catch "all the way up" that will generally result in playback where the audio drops out every 10 seconds roughly.

I've found that I can get it to go away simply by rewinding or pausing for a moment, though not always.

Are others experiencing this?

Same here:( I also get drop-outs while watching OTA programs most on FOX over WDRB TV in Louisville, KY.

I initially got a 700 and on most of the HD subscription movie channels like HBO and Showtime I would get no audio at all, or just blips of audio.

After two weeks of DirecTV's stupid customer support procedures I got a replacement that was a 100. I got audio on all channels, but am periodically experiencing audio dropout or echoing. Like you, if I hit the instant reply button it usually resets the audio and plays alright for awhile. It is most irritating.

Now I get to deal with customer support again for another two weeks to get probably another replacement that doesn't work either. Great. I have to say, the new HR-20 receivers are demonstrating to me that they are crap!

Which release of software are you running? The 0x146 release a couple of days ago solved many of the audio problems on the HR20-100
