My new HR20 was installed Saturday. I got the 100 (silver) The good: I'm very happy so far with the picture quality and that I could actually get rid of one of my boxes. My old setup had a Directv Tivo and a separate HD Receiver on the same TV. So less wires is always a good thing.
The Bad: I made a special trip to the bank friday so I could have cash on hand to tip the installer. Saturday when he came he pretty much stayed on the phone with his girlfriend the whole time he was here. His phone must have rang 4 times and he answered and talked with each one. I was a little ticked because I did have a couple questions and could not get them in as he was always on the phone.
He did not even stay for the update. When it came up he canceled it and told me that it would "pop up again later and to go ahead and do it." Luckily it downloaded with no problems. He did not end up getting a tip.
I thought for sure I would end up with the HR20-700 and was surprised when it was the 100. I don't care which one it is as long as I get a good picture, I guess it's just the luck of the draw which one you get.
