Verizon to Add High-Def to Lineup

Verizon announced Monday it is adding to its high-definition channel lineup. By the end of this week, HGTV HD, Food Network HD and LMN HD (Lifetime Movie Network), will bring the total number of HD channels in most FiOS markets to at least 27, depending on the number of local channels broadcast in HD.
FiOS TV subscribers with an HD-capable TV and HD set-top box will receive the three new channels at no additional cost.
“FiOS TV is growing in popularity just as our high definition networks are, making this agreement a winning partnership for viewers,” said John Baird, executive vp of affiliate sales and marketing for Scripps Networks.
