No, TiVo agreed to sell its box only at Best Buy. Yet another FINE marketing SNAFU from TiVo.
It's amazing that company's lasted THIS long.........

I think everyone by now knows that TiVo has the marketing expertise of a third grader. The company still hasn't figured out how to sell a four year old product. We can only hope that DirecTV has better luck with its version of the product coming up this next month.

Well since there is no mention of TiVo on the outside of the unit, I'd say they'll do better than TiVo...
Dish has been successful moving flawed PVRs to their subscribers. DirecTV should be able to at least duplicate that success with the well-regarded and stable Tivo platform. The price at $5.00 a month is not too bad, especially in the light of two-tuner recording. You'd pay $5.00 for a second receiver anyway, but here you get PVR features. Of course you lose the ability to actually watch two programs at the same time, or have receivers in two different rooms, but I think it's still a compelling offer.
