Need some help and clarification
I want to put a receiver in our RV. Basic receiver. Obviously, size is important. I've heard that the 311 is the smallest of the receivers. Does anyone know if that is true. If it is not, which receiver is the smallest in physical size?
What is the difference between a 311 receiver and a dp311 receiver. Should I be concerned about which one I buy?
I will be using a DP Plus Dish (dual lnb's) for whatever receiver I get. There are two cables coming off the lnb's. Don't I just need to use one of them if I don't have a dual tuner receiver. Can I just connect the cable directly to the receiver, or do I need a switch of some sort?
Thanking all in advance for your replies and remarks.

With a DishPro Plus lnb, the switch is built into the lnb. Also DPP would allow you to run one line to the receiver (and use a separator if it is a dual tuner receiver).

I'll bet the "111" is the smallest. It's listed as 2" high x 8.75 wide x 9.5 deep. I don't see it listed at Dish's site though off the main pages, i.e. "current" receivers.

The 111 is the smallest, but Dish doesn't produce that model anymore. The 311 is the smallest now. The technical name is the DishPro 311 rcvr (DP311). It uses one cable from the DPP LNB. :icon_cool

It seems like the lifespan of the 111 was rather short.... Not many to pick from on eBay either.

Sadoun has remanufactured units for $85 or new for $89.
