New to directv: A question about movie channels

hey everyone, I just switched to directv from digital cable for the extra sports coverage. On cable I had on demand for hbo, sho, starz, max, encore, tmc, etc. Therefore, i never had to worry about recording the movie those channels were showing because they automatically went in to ondemand. I have a directv dvr and was wondering how others go about recording movies they would like to see. It would take at least an hour scrolling through each one of the channels to record what I would want to see that day. I am wondering how other people go about recording movies. Thanks

When you go into the guide, use the left arrow to highlight the channel label and press Select. That will give you a scrollable listing of all the movies on that channel for the next two weeks.

This works on all channels, not just movie channels.

Jeremy, i did that and all it did was switch to the channel I highlighted and selected

I'm sorry, you have to press Info, not Select.
