I am getting a new A/V reciever which has the digital optical input for sound.
I am also finally going to connect the HR20 to the TV via HDMI. (and do a few tests to see if I get a better picture on my Panasonic Plasma via HDMI or Component, but that's another story.
However, I still would like to watch some TV without turning on the receiver and just watch it with the sound through the TV speakers.
So, I assume the HDMI will carry the sound and video to the TV no problem from the HR20, and at the same time, send the audio out to the A/V reciever (when needed) via the TOSLINK cable.
I assume this should work? Any issues I should be concerned about?
Aside from turning ON the Dolby Digital setting on the HR20, anything else I need to do?
