converted from D* to E* today... any advice?

I just ordered a ViP 622 today and I'm excited. I've been a D* customer for nine years but they just could not offer me what I needed at a reasonable price. E* was able to offer what I needed and more. I can't wait!

I'm converting from an owned (not leased) and hacked DirecTivo HR 10-250 to a leased ViP 622. Does anyone have any advice or tips for the transition? Are there any web resources that may help? Can the ViP 622 be upgraded or altered in any allowable way? ;)

Any help is truly appreciated.

A hacked TiVo is not the same as a hacked Dish receiver, it only means that the ethernet port is enabled for file downloads to PC - just like Stand-alone Tivo.

since Tivo failed to enable this utility on DirecTiVo units, the free market has done so.

You'll find a review of the receiver, some tips and tricks, and the answers to some common questions. If you don't want what you need there please post it and either myself or someone else will help you get the answers you need.
