I need a new power supply, and I'm not sure how much wattage I need. This is what's in my computer (Of will be within the next couple of days):

Intel Pentium 4 3.6 Ghz with Hyper Threading
3 SATA Hard Drives
SATA DVD Burner
nVidia 7900 Video Card (Just 1, not SLI), PCI-E based
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro sound card with breakout box
4 Sticks of DDR 3200 RAM
Flash/Memory Card Reader
6 USB ports, 2 Firewire Ports

The main motherboard power connector is 24 pin, with a smaller 4 pin near the heatsink. What would be recommended for this setup?

Did you see the good 500W PS deal I posted in the Great Found Deals (http://www.dbstalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=99) forum?

You can follow the mfr's link I provided for complete specs, including diagrams
of output connectors.

I clicked on your link, but it says there aren't any posts in that forum.

Actually, you need to do a bit of research: You need to know the form factor required, dimensions, placement of cooling fan(s), etc. Certainly you'd want a 400 or 500 watt power supply (although 350 might be sufficient, I'd go with higher wattage). I'd recommend www.newegg.com for power supplies. Antec makes some of the best supplies around. You'll need to pay particular attention to the SATA power output, considering the number of drives you plan to support.

What Carlie said. Newegg are good folks to work with.

Just opened the computer, and now I have another question. The power supply connects to the motherboard at 2 places. First one has 24 pins, and the second, by the processor/heatsink, had 4 pins. I don't see ANY 24+4 pins at Newegg.

That's the current standard layout. Check the Antec, Coolmax and Rosewill supplies. From the main menu, select Shop all Categories, then Power Supplies.
As I first said, dimensions and the number and location of fans will be a very important consideration.

So the smaller 4 pin connector doesn't factor in under Main Connector then. This here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103940 was the only one that matched all my selections. This should be fine for what I'm running/will be running shouldn't it?
