Wanted-good deal on Dish PVR

I am looking to get a Dish Network PVR, either 501 or 508 but don't want to pay $300 for it. Dish network is offering a deal to current subscribers for $200 but you have to have been with them since August, 2001 and I have not. :( Found some deals online for between $118-130 but they are only for new subscribers, so I miss out both ways. Can I become a new subscriber again? I've heard you can do this if you use your cell phone number for your new account.(If this isn't appropriate, I will edit) Any suggestions?

I cannot comment about becoming a new subscriber again, but I might have something that interests you. Directv offered me too good of a deal to go back to them, and as such I will have a 501 I no longer will be using after next week. It has the platinum remote, users manuals. Since we both live in the same general area shipping/delivery wouldn`t really be a problem. Email me directly and we can negotiate a price if you are interested.
