Buff/Ott game NOT on NBC

My local NBC has decided to show a 3 hour pre-Preakness show rather than the NHL playoff game. :mad: I've called DirecTV about showing the game on one of the Center Ice channels as well, but two CSRs I talked to told the game would also be shown on Versus, 608. Of course this was totally untrue. My question is can anyone suggest who I might ask to talk to at DirecTV as opposed to the first CSR? It shouldn't be that hard to simulcast a show on one of the Center Ice stations for those of us that bought the package, but whose NBC is retarded. Thanks.

Tell me about it. This is prior to the one hour pre race show that NBC national is doing. :nono2: I need to find the program director at NBC Baltimore and show them what I think about this.

As a fellow hockey fan, I can understand you are not happy but your location is in Maryland, did you expect no local coverage at all? In Louisville, local coverage starts at 8 or 9am on both friday and saturday for the Oaks and Derby and 65% of the local TV's were tuned into the Derby.

My guess is your local program director won't care because he is probably getting 5x's the rating by showing pre-race coverage instead of hockey.

I'm an avid NHL fan. GO PENS! But lets be real. The Triple Crown is on the line. People are going to watch to see if Street Sense is going to win. Street Sense loses and its out the window, no 3 hour pre-game two weeks from now. The fact is simple - more people will watch this than watch the NHL game. NBC advertised this event better than the game - to the point that I forgot the game was on. Like I said in the other thread, until the NHL goes back to ESPN/ABC, the NHL is making a serious mistake.
