Because of wiring constraints in my house (remodeled around wiring) I can't run a second line but would like an HD DVR. Are there plans to market a single tuner unit or can I use a 622 hooked up to only one line? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Using the supplied splitter, you only need to have one SAT feed going to your 622, which splits it into 2 SAT feeds behind your 622.
The 622 must have 2 SAT feeds in order to operated, but the splitter takes one, and makes it two.

First off, its not a splitter that comes with a 622. It's a Dish Pro Plus SEPARATOR. Yes it looks like a splitter but its function is totally different. Second he needs a Dish Pro Plus LNBF to use the separator.

To answer the the question to this thread, yes you can run a dual tuner with only one line to the room, and no, there is not a single tuner HD DVR.

I have successfully run a dual tuner 622, an incoming over the air ATSC feed, and mirrorred back 2 modulators, all on one coax.

{the diagram is a little scary, but if anyone wants, I will attempt to upload}

Well then, thank you for clearing that up. After re-reading my post, I can see how its simplicity may have confused the OP.

Oh, I believe all new 622 install orders include DPP compatible hardware. Silly to include a Dish Pro Plus SEPARATOR in the box, and not provide other DPP hardware. Thanks again :)

Tasp,
That is something I've been considering. Would you mind sending the diagram to my PM please, I'd like to see it.

not to split hirs but you can operate a 622 with only one feed and one tuner hooked up. My separator failed and I operated in this manner for about a week. You don't get all the capabilities of the unit but it ina pinch you can get by with it.
