I just signed up and have a few questions. I was wondering if you pay the sub will they install an OTA for you. I know it would vary but just seeing what your experiences have been. I am getting the hd dvr 622 I believe and 1 standard. One concern is that I have no phone jacks where the boxes will be hooked up. What problems will this cause? I will have the 622 operating the samsung DLP in the Den and a SD tv in our bedroom. I am considering getting a hd tv in our room. I would guess I would have to get a hd box upstairs. Would it require re-wiring? Sorry for all the questions but I am new to this. Thanks,

Greg

There are devices that will transmit your phone connection through your power lines in the house such as the Phonex Easy Jack and others.

I would get the HD DVR AND the HD receiver at the same time so you can get them with Dish'N'It up. If you wait, you may have to buy the HD receiver, because you can only take advantage of DIU once a year.

My installer sold me an OTA antenna and set up all the wiring but I called them in advance to set it up. If you know who will do the install call them and find out their policy.

As for your upstairs bedroom yes you will need an HD box to receive HD via Dish although you can wire it such that you recieve OTA direct to your TV (assuming it has a HD tuner). Depending on which unit you choose 211 for example will require a single cable (RG6 not RG59 used by cable companies). A 622 will require a cable for each tuner (2) . Hope this helps.
