I am currently at a D 2.2.
The CE features expected tonight plus VOD and fixing the CIR bug would put me up an entire grade level to a C+.

Take a look at the survey results. Even though I took the time to split out trickplay into several questions, they're all the same grade: C.
That says a lot about the overall satisfaction with trickplay.

You guys...
I'm surprised that I'm getting no comments on this. Was it a waste of time?

Better for me in some areas, but not by much. Not quite perfect anywhere. Perhaps I'm a bit tough on the grading, but I go with C for anything that isn't better than average, and am reluctant to give an A for anything that isn't absolutely way above expectations (such as the 'support from areas like DBSTalk.com' question  )

With 75 votes in, the grade is hanging in at C+ (3.411)
Do you agree? Care to explain your vote? Tell us more?

I am surprised at how few of you are taking the survey.
Is it out of anticipation for the coming VOD release?

It's jumped a little bit since I put a link in my signature, but I think that people are spending a lot of time "on the cutting edge".

Holding steady at C+ with 100 taking the survey.

The final result for 0x15c: C+.
The data has been cleared now that 0x168 is national.

After voting roughly a B+, I got an invalid confirmation code message, which I assume means my vote didn't register. I'm positive -- well, pretty sure -- that I entered the correct characters.
I wasn't about to go back and revote. Perhaps others have had the same problem.
What "coming VOD release" ???

I'll look into it... it's the first I've heard of it.
Bill, if you're courageous, you might want to surf the cutting edge forum for more about VOD.

Bill, I've yanked out the security image completely. It relies on cookies and if you don't allow them, then it will definitely have a problem. In addition, I suspect there is some combination of key punches or clicks that make this problematic. For now, have at it. I'll deal with any bots a different way :).

With 62 votes since resetting the survey, the current grade is: B- (3.726). That's an improvement!
For a flagship tv provider, a C plus or a B minus is an embarrassment. This is another reason why Directv needs to bring TIVO back. TIVO never, as far as I know, received such poor marks. Indeed, people are paying big dollars for used, broken DIRECTIVOs, just for the opportunity to fix them and use them.

With 103 results, the current grade is B (3.584)
The current survey will stay open until there is a new national release.
