HR20-100 parental controls

i got my hr20-100 yesterday as u all know. i was going thru my system info and noticed it said some content blocked. so i went to parental controls and was surprised to find the default (on my box anyways) all movie ratings were block and anything above tv 14 was blocked so i had to go thru and allow them all. is this how the box is supposed to come? i missed a recording last nite because of that tv content block and i really didnt realize i had to go thru parental controls to allow.

I believe so. I just had 2 HR20-700's installed yesterday and both came the same way. Just like you I had to go into parental controls and change the settings.

If you have not set a parental control password and locked your system and you still lost a recording, something other than parental controls caused it.
