of some sort? Or do I always have to go to the guide to edit stuff.

So some thing very, very close to Tivo's SPM is the biggest flaw yet.

Yes as long as there are upcoming episodes. If there is no upcoming episodes you can not at this point. There is a problem with the software and it needs to be fixed.

True, though you can go into the Prioritizer, scroll down the list and select a scheduled recording and press DASH, DASH to remove that schedule entry if necessary. (Can't edit the settings there, but can at least remove a schedule that you have and want to remove).

Not being able to change settings for schedules that don't have upcoming episodes is a hot issue, and I wish it would get some love soon. Way before some other issues that are much farther down the issue list or don't need to be there at all.

While I agree it needs to be fixed, what is the huge issue with it not working? What changes need to be made to a series link if there are NO upcoming episodes? I cant come up with a good reason to need to edit one of my series links of a show that has no upcoming episodes. The only thing I need to be able to do to it is delete it to keep under the 50 series limit.

Where this is always a major problem for me is with programs that appear on multiple channels. Many popular programs (Law & Order, Battlestar Galactica, etc.) appear on multiple channels. The Prioritizer doesn't tell you which channel it is set to record on, and if there are no episodes coming up, you can't click to see which channel. So... I can never tell if I might be missing upcoming episodes on other channels.

It's even more important when some channels air that show in HD, and others are SD. I might want to make sure that the HD versions are recorded when it comes back on. If it says "none scheduled", does that mean no episodes on the SD channel, no HD episodes, or none at all? You can't tell.

The only way I can verify that it will record correctly is to delete that series and start over.

Speaking of which... I have always found it extremely confusing how - when you search by title for a series to add - on some screens it shows you a list of channels on which it airs, while on other screens it shows a list of episode names. I can never figure out how to get to that episode list screen when I want to, or vice-versa. I can also never tell whether adding the series link will record across multiple channels or not.

By trial and error, it seems that series links are always channel-specific, but that it is totally unclear from the interface, and I wish it would give you that option.

This is especially important for catching up on old episodes of existing series that I've just gotten hooked on. For a well-established series, those episodes might be scattered across a half-dozen channels. Sometimes I want to record them all, while other times I only want the HD episodes.

(IMHO, if I ever run into a 50-series limit, that's a sure sign that I have no life and need to get out more. Maybe that's just me...)

I tend to agree on the 50 series limit, although I hit 40 series links this week until I got rid of many of the shows that are done for the season. But alas, watching tv is what some actually call a life....I feel bad for those individuals..

I understand your point on the 50 series limit, but with the crazy scheduling that the broadcasters have been doing, it's very easy to go over the 50 limit. On my DirecTivo, I think I had close to 80 season passes. Now I wasn't watching hours and hours of TV every day. But with the regular season, midseason replacements, summer seasons and whatnot, you could have 3 or 4 season passes just for a single night's time slot over a single year.

It seems unnecessary that a user should have to keep deleting and adding SL's as one season transitions into another just to keep things under the 50 limit.

I have 104 SPs on my R10, although a fair number of them are shows that may or may not ever come again - such as Sports Night. However, I really appreciate the fact that I can leave shows like that on the SP list and not worry about hitting a limit.
