I have tried to install my Magnovox DVD Player/Recorder MWR 10D6 several times. I want to record programs that I have recorded on the 625 DVR.
So far I have not been able to do anything but set up time and date on the DVDR.

Any other item on the set up menu does not work when selected. If I play a program on the DVR and try to record it nothing happens.

Maybe one of you has tried and know wht to do or how to hook the DVDR correctly in order to use the recorder. I would reall be thankful for anyones advise.

If more info is needed please ask. You are welcome to email me.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

1, run A/V cables from the OUTPUT ports on the 625 to the corresponding INPUT A/V ports on your DVD-R

2. Select the correct input onthe DVD-R, get it setup to record

3. Start playing program on DVR / start record on DVD-R simultaneously.

You might want to put a TV on the output ports of the DVD-R to check if you are receiving signal.

You may also be having an issue where the 625 is sending a signal to your DVD-R to not allow recording. If this is the case, you may want to look into getting a video capture card for your PC, capture the video as an MPG2 file, then create DVDs on your PC instead. I do this quite successfully quite often.

Make sure the input on the DVD recorder matches your method of connectivity between the DVD-R and the 625 rcvr. If you're using A/V cables, be sure to select input 1/input2/line 1/line 2, etc on your DVD-R. If using standard coaxial cable, select channel 3 on the DVD-R. :icon_cool
