Extracting Video

Does anyone know of a way to extract the video directly off of the hdd from a DishPVR 501 Reciever? I'd like to be able to take the video directly off of the hdd and put it on a computer. I'd like to keep from using a Capture card to extract the video off. Anyone got any ideas?

The following is from the DBSTalk.COM Terms of Service.

(m) Discussion about hacking into the content of Personal Video Recorders (PVR's) including digital transfer of undecoded programming from the PVR's hard drive to another medium is prohibited. However, discussion about upgrading the hard drive in a PVR is allowed.
