I finally got both of my HR20s networked today. Connection's fine on both, but how do I access files from my computer? I don't see anything in the HR20 menu to do this.

Are you using WMP (Windows Media Player)?

Have you told WMP to share your folder where your files are.


The HR20: Hit menu...you should see a Music & Photos option.
I ended having to reboot my HR20 box once everything was setup.

I haven't told WMP to share the folder. How would I go about doing that?
Music & Photos isn't showing up. Of course, both are in the middle of recordings at the moment, so I can't reset them. I'll report back once I can reset them.

Go into "options" in WMP. Choose Library...then "configure sharing".


For me...the HR20's show up as "unknown devices". Grant permission to let the HR20's "unknown devices" have access.

Oh btw.... I have XP...I haven't done this with Vista yet.

But I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. (I know...that was weak)

My apologies...I'm a little distracted.

Did you run thru network setup on the HR's?

I restarted both the computer and the free HR20, and it's still not there.
Yeah, I went through network connections setup. Just tested it, and it says connected, and it has an IP and MAC Address, all that fun stuff.
The HR20 isn't showing up on my computer either.

I also do not see music and photos showing up as an option although my connection tests successfully.
