I currently have Directv's RC32RF remote. Is there any difference between this and the RC64RB remote (Other than additional component codes)?

Actually, there are some additional changes that are significant for me.
I have a Hitachi 70VX915 that I have programmed into both remotes with the same component code. On the RC32 model, the cursor keys and select key are not available for the Hitachi. On the RC64 model, these keys work. So on the RC64, I can navigate the Hitachi menu and more important, change inputs. On the RC32, I can bring up the Input menu, but cannot select one.

Thats good to know. I had an RC32 that went bad and got an RC64 as a replacement. I knew the cursor keys didn't work for my Mitsu TV with the 32 so I never tried them with the 64. Going to try that tonight when I get home.

Yes, now I can access menus for my new Tosh 32" in the bedroom using the 64. It is an improvement.

Aren't the keys a little fatter? Might not be much, but I like it.

I think on the RC64RB You also get backlit keys, I'm not going in the bedroom right now to check :D, I know my RC64R does not have the lited keypad.

The RC32RF mentioned in the first post of the thread also has the backlit keys (which are slightly larger than on the non-backlit remotes).

directv 12 yrs.+, I just got a CR64RB that replaced a RC32RF and I think the 32 has a little more weight.

The RC64R works great with my Mitsubishi TV.. You can navigate thru the menu and select the inputs you want.

There are very small cosmetic differences between the RC32RF and the RC64RB but no real functional difference except the new codes.

For instance the backlight on the 32 is bluish and on the 64 it's white.

The dash key on the 32 has a raised dash where the 64 is not raised.

Just minor stuff

If the 32RF supports a backlight then for the most part, its more component codes.
The RC64 also, as perviously noted, may control more functionality on your devices.

Another great example of this would be my stereo. I've got an Aiwa stereo, my RC32 Will turn it on and off, and allow me to play. My RC64 Will turn it on, off, play, pause, skip track, and some of the numbers work my presets.
