I have been a D* sub since 99 and have always owned all my equipment.

I am ready to upgrade my 3 receivers to the HR20. Does my subscription fee include the lease fees? I currently pay $119.96 ($99.99 Premiere, $9.99 HD, $4.99 Mirror, $4.99 Mirror).

If I upgrade to the HR20, will I be charged any additional lease fees for the boxes? Will there be any fees on top of the $119.96 I currently pay?

I have done a lot of searches through the threads and have not seen anything that addresses this specifically. It appears that the $4.99 mirror fee includes the lease as well.

Any and all help with this question is appreciated.

Thanks!

No your bill will be the same. Directv is channing the name mirror fee to lease fee for all new equipment.

It's all the same.

Own = "Additional Receiver Fee"
Lease = "Lease Fee"

Both are the same price, $4.99

You do not get charged for the first receiver, owned or lease.

Basically there is no monthly difference between owning or leasing other then your state may charge sales tax on leased equipment.

Thanks to bonscott87 and BMoreRavens! You guys were lightning fast on this one!

I thought that was the way it was and you guys have helped to confirm it.

I will be calling to do my swap out today and will post the results in the HR20 ordering forum.

Thanks again!

I have two HR10's that I own and two HR20's that I lease. I get charged the same $4.99 for all of them, but I get charged sales tax on the "Additional Receiver" fees, not the "Leased Receiver" fees. (I also have an SD-TiVo that is my primary).

If you have never had DVR service you will be charge a fee of I belive 4.99 or 5.99 for that feature, no matter how many DRV HR20s you have.

You will also pay a single $5.99/month DVR fee.

OP has the Premiere package. DVR is included in that package, so there should not be an additional $5.99/month DVR fee.

Not with Premier he won't. It's included, isn't it?
It is in mine.
