View Full Version : Only one tuner will record

Only one of my tuners will record. On the Setup->Info & Test screen under "Tuner" it says
Tuner 1:SAT,Record
Tuner 2:SAT

I don't use OTA at all.

I have had DirecTV out here three times for the initial install. I also spent 3 hours on the phone with customer support. They finally fixed the initial problem. They were using two multi switches and we didn't have HD off of the second one. They solved this by bringing out a multi switch with more outputs. I don't know which multiswitch they installed.

I reran the satellite set up. The signal test shows signal on both tuner 1 and tuner 2.

Has anyone seen this problem? Is this another problem with the multi switch set up?

I decided to come here before calling DirecTV. I don't have three hours this morning to deal with them.

Has the HR20 been rebooted since the last multiswitch change? If the HR20 detects that tuner2 can't see the satellites, it will not restore the tuner when is becomes available later without a reboot.

And lastly, have you tried an unplug power off of the HR20, again since the last multiswitch change?

I'm not sure if it has been rebooted since the new multi switch. Trying it now...
