I have a Dish Net dual tuner and one HD tuner.

If I switch to Direct, do they use the same mount or will they drill another hole in my roof. I'm guessing the cabling would stay the same?

Anything else I need to know before making the switch?

Well, the D* Ka/Ku dish takes a 2in pole, don't know what E* uses, so that might need to be repleaced. If it does, the best thing is to have the installer just leave the E* base plate on the roof so you don't have to worry about holes and install the new D* plate with the dish.

As for cables, D* currently doesn't have a way to route all the signals over one cable so you'd need at least three, two for the satellite signal and one for an other the air antenna. If you need more then for cable runs from the dish then the installer will install a switch for you to provide the other runs, that switch can be installed in the house somewhere to cut down on the cable runs into the home from outside.

Good luck if you decide to make the switch.
