The Practice

Does anyone know why the Practice was a rerun Sunday night(10/27/02).Both the Dish program guide and my local newspaper showed it as a new episode. Maybe ABC was worried about World Series 7th. game competetion.

The Practice and Alias were switched to reruns once a seventh game of the World Series was assured. ABC did the same thing last year when the Series went to a Game 7.

Most everyone went to reruns and ceded their audience to the World Series last week.

jr.. I agree with you. The Practice used to be a regular Sunday tradition with me. Now I hardly ever catch it at all. I even have my timer on the D-VHS set to tune it every Sunday and I usually tune away. Boomtown, on at the same time, looks interesting to me now.

This show seems to have gone the way of ER, but without the loss of cast members. The writers have moved away from focusing on the guest characters each week and spend way too much time on the regulars, trying to make them more interesting with more shocking/unbelievable stories.
