Are there any powered multiswitches out there that will handle at least three HR20s (up to 6 would be better).

I'm willing to give replacing the Zinwell that the D installer put in place a shot.

Or you can add the Sonora Signal Locker, for $60ish
And that will basically turn your WB68 into a powered WB68

The WB616 ranges from $100-$200 depending on where you look to purchase it from.

Edit:
Sonora Signal Locker: $45 before shipping

I have a Zinwell WB616 I got from Solid Signal that works well for me. Has 16 ouputs.

I've also be using the 16 port Zinwell powered to drive 5 units with o problems so far. 2 hr-20, 2 hd-10-250 and a very old tivo box

If you can get in the SWM switch beta those are powered as well.

I'm happy to test the SWM that would work with my installation...but I'm not going to depend on any beta unit as my only device.

Actually, I don't think there's anything wrong with the multiswitch I have now...but since everytime I report a bug with the HR20 to D or here there are million other possibilities suggested before the unit being the problem I'm going to have a second unit...this one powered to eliminate more of those possibilities.

I'd post the reason that D's tech support gave me for my 2nd Tuner disappearing even though the test showed it to be working...but it would just lead to more hatred...and wouldn't serve any real purpose.

Powered could certainly help your situation. Never know.

Back in October or so we had a very large thread about powering your switch with various things like the Sonora power inserter. Many people that were having tuner issues or channel changing issues had their problems go away when the switched was powered. Typically it was people with a *lot* of receivers (thus a big draw on the LNB) along with long cable runs like over 50 feet.

I see you have 3 HR20s. If you also have some long cable runs a powered switch may very well help you out. At least it can't hurt if you're willing to try.

The cable runs are relatively short...the longest probably being about 60 feet and the other two around 30 feet.

But...it's worth a try.
