Quick questions about R15...

I've had it now for a few months and still hate it. However I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the following:

1) When you do a "manual" repeat recording - how do you tell the DVR to
"keep 2" episodes of it, for example. When I do a regular season pass - it gives me an option on how many epsioodes I would like to keep but when I do a manual recording - it doesn't gve me the option with the result that my DVR records atleast 5 shows of that episode on manual recording.

2) Is there an easy way to delete a set of the same programs in the playlist without doing each one indivudually. For example if i have 5 episodes of "Deal or No Deal" and I want to delete all of them - can't I goto the main title and delete all instead of going to each one separately and deleting them.

3) With the CE download - I will try it tonight. Is there any specific time I need to do it?

4) The R15 box is really horrendous. I actually was putting my old TIVO box back in its place but the TIVO box wasn't working - a sound was coming from the receiver (like a fan) - is there anyway that could be fixed.

#1 - Not sure... don't use it enough to know it off the top of my head
#2 - When in MyPlaylist, hit MENU... there is a mark&delete, then you can mark them in bulk. (the R15 doesn't have group delete like the HR20)
#3 - You can't try it tonight, as there is no window open... be sure to monitor the CE forum, for the next CE window
#4 - Check www.tivocommunity.com to diagnose what it could be (probably is the fan)

Can't be done. For some unexplained reason it's 5--no more, no less--when doing a manual repeat record.

Doesn't much matter, though. It's not like keep at most is always honored anyway. :p

thanks for the help. I subsrcibed to the CE update forum so hopefully the window will open soon. How often does it happen though?

Recently it has been happening every week. I'm a little surprised it isn't happening tonight.:(
