I have an install scheduled for Monday on an HR20 I have a couple of questions?

1st this will be a bedroom unit and I have a directv with tivo SD unit hooked up in the living room will it work with the 5nb satellite dish?

2nd does the installer have all the hookup cable for the hdtv I need?


Any help would appreciated as I am an HDTV newbie.

1) Yes your SD TiVo will work with the 5 LNB dish.

2) All the cables to hook up the HR20 to the TV come in the box with the HR20.

1. Yes

2. He should. The HR20's have been coming w/ the HDMI cable for a few months now. If no HDMI, he should at least have component. All the cables should be in the HR20 box.

I just arranged for an slimline and HR20 install. The CSR advised me that 6 receivers could be run from the slimline dish without having a switch. Is that correct, since I need to run 5 lines total?

No. You will need to run 4 lines from the dish to a Zinwell WB68 multi-switch. The multi-switch will be supplied by Directv for free. I would call back and make sure it is on your work order.

I believe mainly the -100 but in some area's the -700. Doesn't really matter what one you get.
