Big ice storms last night here in Central PA. This AM, I woke up to find no signal on the 119 slot, and a good signal on 110. Since then, now i have nothing on 119 OR 110 either. Anyone else having this trouble or anyone know if E is having some sort of technical problems this morning???
I am stumped. I know its nothing with my dish, cause I had signal then I didn't. Barely any bad weather right now, so I should not be getting signal fade or anything.

Big ice storm = ice buildup on your dish and 119 lnb? Then buildup on your 110 lnb? If so, that's why you have no signal at the moment. Ice and snow will block your signal.

Hmmm...nice thought but I checked that already. Amazingly enough no actual ice buildup on the dish or the LNB. Still this morning, the signal on 110 keeps coming and going and nothing on 119 yet to speak of. It has all the symptoms of rain fade out, but there is no current weather pattern above me. Any other notions???

Maybe ice did build up on your dish overnight and knocked it out of alignment? An ice buildup might be heavy enough to do that.
Have you tried a check switch? What does it report?

Not sure but I THINK I have it figured out. There was so much ice buildup last night and all the trees still have leaves on them. Many tree limbs came down. The ones that have not are drooping MUCH MUCH lower than usual. Looks like my neighbor's tree drooped over enough that it seems to be right in the line of site. Sucks for me because that means most likely I can do nothing till enough thaws off the leaves that the tree moves back into its original position. We never get snow or ice this early. Glad we don't, or I'd have no tv more often. This guy's tree is never in my line of site, but it sure looks like it is now.

Well, at least it's not a problem with your equipment! (And of course a chainsaw would solve your problem right up!)
