"Christmas Special" is from 8-9:30.
Episode 1 from series 3 is from 9:30 to 10:30.

I went to check my To Do list because I figured the Christmas Special wouldn't be picked up by the series link. It's not. But neither was the series.

On the Tivo forum they post that Tivo's aren't picking it up either unless you have it set to catch both reruns and first runs. Reason is the original air date is the UK air date it appears.

SO:

1) Chirstmas Special won't be picked up in any case, need to one time record it
2) Check your series link and because you can't edit a series link with no episodes set to record on the HR20 (DIRECTV, PLEASE FIX!!!) you will need to delete the series link and recreate with reruns included.

I haven't tried to set a timer, since I plan on watching when it airs Friday... but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing in my Dish EPG both episodes marked as "NEW" ones. Maybe the recording problem is just a TiVO glitch?

My DirecTiVo is listing a original air date of 6/18/07. Nope, not quite.

It is also picking up both episodes since they are listed as "Repeats and First Run".

I was just double-checking... My Dish EPG has both episodes listed as new and first-air date 7/7/2007... which is kind of interesting, since both episodes are airing on 7/6!

I wonder what effect that would have on a timer?

Curiouser and curiouser...

The 8pm and 9:30pm airings Friday are as I said above on my Dish EPG, listed as first airing on 7/7 (the day after they will air on SciFi!) BUT... the late-night repeats of these same shows have the 6/18/2007 original air-date. Someone is having fun in EPG-land!
