I'm running Windows Vista. This has been a problem before, but I'm really sick of it now!!
I'm the only user, and logged on as Administrator. There are times when I go to delete something, it tells me I don't have permission to do that, and I need permission from an administrator. I have seen sometimes where a message will actually pop up and ask for my permission, as an administrator, but other times, just an endless loop until I tell it to Cancel.
Anyway to fix this?

It's UAC and can be disabled, however I leave mine enabled because I like to know what's going on.

Are you running as Administrator or as an Administrator? By default with Vista the actual Admin account is disabled. Go to Run and type in secpol.msc and in the management consul Enable the Admin account. Once enabled, you can now log on using the username, Administrator, and you'll never be bothered by the UAC again.
Are you sure you want to go to the bathroom? - Cancel or Allow.

I tried this, and it said Windows couldn't find it. To check the spelling.
This IS a VERY irritating problem.

Oops I should have noted, I believe that only works with Vista Ultimate and Vista Business. I've never used anything but Ultimate so I have no idea what the equivalent work around would be for lesser versions.
