While going into system info on my Vip622, I get a drift detected message for the 61.5 satellite. Is a dish out of alignment ? All channels are working fine, no problems obvious. What does this mean ? Thanks Alan

It is an indication that the lnb is failing and needs to be replaced, I have this on my 61.5 lnb also with a drift of -5.9 or something like that, have not changed it and will do so when it fails completely, as of now even with the supposed drift it is still working fine

I was going to ask the same question with my SuperDish. If I go into details, I get the following:

LNB Drift Detected
0x0d, 0xa1, 119(e -6.32)(o 0.00)
0x00, 0x00, 105(e 0.00)(o -5.70)

I assume the 119 and 105 refer to the orbital position. I no longer need 105, but I am concerned about 119.

I also haven't noticed any missing channels.

I googled "LNB Drift" (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=RNWE,RNWE:2004-22,RNWE:en&q=%22LNB+Drift%22) and the consensus is that if the e & o (even & odd) numbers are +-5, then your LNB should be replaced.

I lease my equip. and just stopped the Dish Home Protection (of course).

We could be moving in the next few months and I wonder how long before I start noticing problems? I would assume that if the next owner of this house decides to go with E* and they install the equip, they would see this and replace the LNB for free, right? I guess I could tell the next owner about this too so they insist that the LNB be replaced.

My 129 lnb gave me the same message last week. I noticed that the system had changed all my programming default from 129 to my 61.5 dish.

I checked it yesterday and is is back in 129.

I guess as the 129 drops in and out, I'll be flip-flopping from dish to dish.

BTY TP27 on 129 is running 50-52 for me, others are in the 80's on 129
