I got a courtesy call from the installation company today about my installation. They say he is coming today between 3:00 - 3:30pm. I have been using the 3lnb dish along with my hr10-250 and three other series 2 Directv tivos.

Today they are upgrading me to an hr20-100 or 700 but the work order didn't say anything about the 5lnb dish. She did mention the receiver and multi-switch. I am guessing my current multiswitch needs to be replaced. It is a few years old and not sure it handles the newer technologies. Shouldn't the work order mention the dish? I told her to try to get a hold of him to make sure he has one. This makes me nervous.

Yes your work order should have the dish on it and if it does not they will not install it. A few members have had the same problem lately. DIRECTV told them they don't know why it did not show up. It must be a problem with their system. I would give DIRECTV a call to get it worked out.

Yes you will need a new multi-switch. It will be the Zinwell WB68 and it is a free upgrade.

At this point in time should I call Directv on the issue or the the installation company? 5 hours and counting before they come out.

If I call Directv will any CSR do or do I need to ask for any specific group? (installations)

I would call the install company first and if they say they will add it then you should be fine. But if not I would call DIRECTV right away.

BTW when you talk to someone and if they add it for you get there name so if there is a problem later today you know who you talked to.

Do you have the phone number to the install company that called you?

Yes I called and they have me on hold . they are trying to get ahold of the installer. Of course early when they tried it went to his voice mail. She was wondering why they wouldn't have had the dish as part of the install. Good question!!!

Again the installer isn't answering his phone. They then contacted his supervisor and he is going to try to contact the installer and email him. The installer is also based out of my town so that should hopefully help also.

Crossing my fingers. I do feel bad for anyone having to work outside in 90+ degree heat.
