Splitting one account (and it's hardware) into two

Here's my situation...

Me and my roomate have 1 account, in his name. One of the receivers, an HR-20, I paid for myself (the upgrade fee) and use exclusively.

I just purchased a new home and will be having a new dish/account set up at my new house. I would like to take the HR-20 which is associated with our current account, and use it in my new home. Does anyone know if D* allow this?

Just open an account in your name and take your receiver with you. Of course deactivate it at your previous address.

If he does that his roommate will be stuck with the non return fee ($400 plus tax). There is no easy solution for what you want to do besides him pay you back for the HDDVR and him keep it. The receiver is leased and can not be taken to another account without the first account having the NRF.
