Hey Guys, is the monthly charge for the HR-20's the same whether we own it or lease it? Is $5.99 per dvr the monthly fee? I'm trying to get a deal like many of you have. I need 2 HR-20's and so far after many calls I've been able to get to one for free but they want full price on the second. I know many have got 2 free or the 2nd for like $99.00. I hoping for something like that. I've been a customer for over 4 years and always paid on time and currently have about 6 months left on a 2 year commitment on a HR-10-250. I'm wondering about the monthly, figuring once we get the equipment the monthly charges will be the same whether leased or owned. I guess it comes down to now not so much the money for these dvr's but the principal that others are getting them for a song and a dance why can't I. Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject.
Thanks, Johnny

The first receiver is included in your package and every receiver after that is $4.99 a month. DIRECTV calls it a mirror fee for owned receiver's and now the call it a lease fee for the leased receiver's.
The $5.99 DVR fee is once per account, not per DVR.
The $4.99 Receiver fee (Additional Rcvr if owned, Lease fee if leased) is for each receiver after the first one on the account. the first receiver is included in the basic programming package. The DVR fee may or may not be part of the basic package, depending on which package you have.
