my install is set for tomorrow and I'm looking at the Install Tips here and trying to talk to a human at CIS to verify my work order, but can't seem to. It has me enter the phone # on the account, and then just asks me to confirm, change or cancel my install. I confirm it, and then that's the end of the automated process.
When calling CIS, what steps do I need to take in order to get an operator on the other end of the line?
Might be able to try to "change" the install...that would normally lead to a person.
Hitting 0 often helps...and another helpful tip with many automated voice machines to start cursing....that often triggers a transfer to a person.

I had the same problem yesterday. I couldn't get past the CIS confirmation process twice, so then I just called the regular customer service number. I think that the regular CSR can verify the work order, but they transferred me to a different department because I wanted to add an additional note on my work order (letting the installer know that my current 3LNB dish is on a poll mount - thanks to those who have posted the info about the larger dimension on the 5 LNB pole!).

yeah, I couldn't get past the automated process either when confirming/changing my install though I suppose a going the activate services might have gotten me a human. I eventually just called the normal number and got re-directed to where I needed to go to.

I just call the regular number and when I get to the point of it asking me my issue I just say installation question. This always leads me to a real person. who then transfers me to the installation department.
