Happy and some what confused.

I have an Hughes HDVR2 that showing signs of failure so I decided to call DirecTV and see what kind of specials they would offer me. I was shocked when I was offered ' a deal I just could not refuse'.
the deal, DirecTV has offered to replace both the Hughes HDVR2 and the RCA DVR40 with HR20's! This offer is going to cost me a total of just $21.24. Naturally, getting 2 replacement HD DVR's for just over $21.00 makes me very happy especially remembering how much all these DirecTivo's cost me years ago.
Now for the confusion, I thought these HR20's were in short demand? Why would DirecTV offer me HR20's (I am happy they did) instead of R15's?
Anyway, I did view my order online and confirmed 2 HR20's and a 5-LNB dish (useless since I already have one) are on that order.

Has anyone else got an offer like this?

BTW, It may be the time to pick up the phone and call DirecTV if you do need to replace something as offers like that don't happen everyday (or at least to me)

You are correct! I apologize if I put this in the wrong area

Edit: I got thinking about this and it may belong here after all.

Why, I am suppose to be part of Round-5 SWM Trials and replacing 2 SD Tivos with FTM capable equipment does change my configuration.
Also, I am wondering if the folks on the phone know who is part of these trials and who isn't. Just think it was strange they offered HR20's from the get-go. Some may argue they are taking Tivo's out of circulation but I would still think you would offer R-15's first unless the plan is to offer nothing but HD Equipment..

While it does do that, you mainly talked about the great deal you got. Once everything is installed and you have it up and running and either have Issues or successes - putting your information down in the CE are under SWM Round 5 would be appropriate.

You got a great deal from DIRECTV, so that belongs here in the Ordering and Information section. :)

They've gotten a lot of HR20-700 to refurbish and also they were able to add to their stockpile with the addition of the HR20-100. So while new 100s are going out, they were able to fix many of the -700. I've been to BB and CC and there's no less than 3 on the shelves at all times now, where I was lucky to find one @ 5 stores. ;)
