View Full Version : Tip the installer?
Getting a 5lnb dish(to replace a 3 lnb) and an HR20 to replace an HR10-250 this week.Should be a reasonably easy installation..........but.......is it advisable to tip the installer? If yes,do you let him know before the install? And how much is reasonable?I've never tipped an installer before, but if it helps get a better job,it may be worthwhile.
I've had two installations. One by E* back in 01 and the latest by D* in 07. Both were very proffesional and personable. I felt they both earned a tip for the job they performed. However, if they botched anything or I wasn't happy with their work, I wouldn't have a problem not tipping an installer.
Ongoing thread on the topic of tipping HERE (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=91586&highlight=tip).
I apologize,Nick.I missed the other thread(I did do a search).Delete this thread if you wish.Thanks.....Fred
