View Full Version : Web Pages to Video?
I need to make a video of a web based application to train people how to use it. I see many articles talking about getting video into a web page. I want to get shots of web pages into a video. I can use either a Mac or Windows to do this.
The only thing I can think of is connecting a computer to a DVD recorder via S- video and then saving the video file to back to the computer.
Any better ideas on how to do this? Any special software available?

I have been using this at work to make computer training videos:

That looks great Chris! I'll need to check into this too. I often get tasked with showing a demo of a client's website as they click through it and have just video taped the session in HD but having this capability will allow me to do it in post as well.

The program works very well. Recently we deployed a new personnel database and I was tasked with making a step by step video of how the users will enter their information. What you do is simply write a script on what you want to say, setup the program and record the screen while you are talking.
Once the video is done, you can add arrows, highlights and other neat effects in post. Very easy and well worth the money.

If your computer screen is at 1200 x 1920 will it capture video at that or does it do a scale down? I recall some screen capture programs from the old days would only work at 640x480. That would be a problem with my computer today.
