The PQ today has been awful. I was watching football on Fox (2 in Detroit) and kept losing signal and the pixelation was horrible. Anyone else having a problem.

I watched a couple minutes of the Steelers game on KDKA-Pittsburgh this afternoon. I thought it was rather clear for a change. The typical artifacting was there, but not as bad as it sometimes is.
Maybe it was a locale-specific thing. Would be nice to get some more replies and see what's up :)

The Picture on the CBS affiliate here in Cincinnati was so bad that it looked like the Bengals won a game. We all know that can't be. :)
See ya

I don't get any locals besides the supers, all channels look about normal to me.

I get Detroit locals also and all of them have been terrible lately. Many audio dropouts, brief acquiring signal and major pixelization. It does not seem to be related to signal strength. I think the locals are at 110 transponder 10 and my signal strength is 99 out of 100 on my 721.

I'm in pittsburgh as well, I also watched the game. It was OK, nothing special, but not great. But then, later at night, seinfeld was just terrible on fox.

I was also losing signal every 5 minutes for a few seconds, the "please wait, acquiring sat signal" would keep popping up. Anyone else see this
The Detroit locals have been a digital mess since thursday in the AM. Dropouts and lost signal messages many times per hour. I have relatives here who are having the same problem. Anyone who is seeing this problem in metro Detroit should call or e-mail Dish. They won't respond till they are convinced it is a wide spread problem!

Oh I forgot...the other day, I was getting some nasty artifacting and the occasional freeze on 11 (WPXI, NBC). Only lasted a few seconds, but it did seem odd. As it was right around freezing and drizzling/sleeting, I checked signal strenghth and both were in the high 90s.
That reminds me. I gotta get out there and spray some Pam on that dish before it starts snowing
I am in Detroit and had the same problem. A ton of "acquiring Sat signal". Also saw a lot of downloading the guides as well yesterday, kept coming up during the Lions game - about every five minutes, even if I let it download, it would come back up again. I have a 508 if that makes a difference.
Signal strength was through the roof - 125 for the locals. Thought maybe I had a strength problem.
