View Full Version : Anyone getting Plus HD deal for $59.99/month

I just paid my own money to get a HR20 off of Ebay since I couldn't talk DirecTV into any deals on one but was at least hoping to get the deal I have heard about on several forums that when you get a HD DVR, you can get the Plus HD package for $59.99/month for a year plus I think 3 months free of HBO and Showtime. I called today and was told no special deals were available, am I the world's worst negotiator or is nobody getting this deal anymore? My apologies if this is on the wrong forum but this seemed to be the closest one.

I haven't heard of that deal.

But getting the HBO and/or Showtime or $5 dollar credits for 6 months off of HD package happens quite often.

btw, you do realize that the HR20 off of Ebay is probably a leases box.

I have Plus HD for 59 a month. it is 69 and i got 12 10 dollar credits

I got HBO and Cin. for free for 3 months

Wouldn't the seller have to tell me that, I would think if you are leasing and then cancel your service as the seller did, you would then have to return the box. Anyhow, there was no mention of leasing in the auction listing, I will be quite annoyed if there is some kind of lease attached to this.

As of like March 06 everything went to a leased program unless you paid full price. Something like 799.00.

Please check w/ the seller, I could be mistaken. What is the aking price being listed.

I got the $59 deal after the third try, like an idiot I forgot to ask if my unit was leased or not. I got it for $200 with free shipping off of Ebay so I would guess it is a lease, but I'm loving the unit so far.

As stated above, any unit activated after March 2006 is leased.

I upgraded my H10 to the HR20-100 and 5 lnb (already had HD) with HDDVR Plus package and got a $10 / month prog credit for a year. Had to pay $200 for the HR20 but w/$120 credit not too bad. Best I could do; tried the $19.95 buyline a few times but they never bit.
