Hello,
Am considering a switch from D* to E*, but have heard that there can sometimes be problems getting all the channels with a single dish in my area.
Can I get all the HD channels with one dish? I live in Chesapeake, Virginia (Norfolk area).
Also, will the E* dish point in the same approximate location as my current D* satellite.? Would really enjoy a simple dish swap at the current D*dish location.
I don't want to switch if I'm just going to have problems getting the complete channel lineup.
Thanks for your help,

That shouldn't be a problem. All standard definition programming is now on a Dish500, including locals. A couple of years, ago, a Super Dish was required. HD content will require a Dish 1000 or 1000+. The 129 look angle is very low in your area. You might need to go to an additional dish at 61.5.
I know this, because I do a lot of service work in the Tidewater area, sinc I grew up there and have a lot of family and friends there.

I'm south of Richmond and the angle on 129 degree location was too low due to my lot being heavy woods. Dish installed a 61.5 degree dish for free that works great. I hear not so great things about the 129 signal strength so I'm happy.
Only downside is the second dish.

I live in Temperanceville on the Eastern Shore. I have the "wing" dish pointed at 61.5 to get the HD Pkg.
