Anyone have a link to or a database of installers?

I move about four months ago, and now because the house has MOLD we have to move again.

But, DTV says, once a year only or 230$ all in. Sounds crazy.

Historically, I have done the installs myself, but now with the 5LNB dish, it might prove much more difficult.

I figure, SOME installer must be interested to do it for maybe 100$ cash?

thanks for the help

If you're looking for installers to respond or recommendations from folks here, it would help to know where you live.

Does your online account happen to show an offer for a free(or $99) H20 w/ 5LNB sat install? If so, you could always change your service address to your new address then take the offer... They will come install the dish and receiver, i'm sure you could talk the guy into an extra cable or 2. :)

If you don't want/need the H20, you can always return the leased unit.

you might be able to find someone to do it for $100 if you only have one receiver and the cables are already ran

With a name like tivoboy one would believe your were tach savvy enough to do the install yourself.... If not I thought DTV offered a mover special where you leave the dish and they install the new one....

yes, DTV offers a movers service, but since I did a move four months ago(posted above), they won't do another one for free till a year is up.

So, maybe it is worth the 230$ to have them do it, maybe not.

I've done these installs myself about 20 times over the past 13+ years, but the 5LNB dish proves difficult even for the installers - I figured they were certainly better than I at it?

I may try it, I have all the cables here in the current house, I left everything simple and I have about 6x 125 runs to use in the new place (won't need that much, but I have all the cables.

The most concerning stuff, is putting the hole in the wall in an extra bedroom. Not really sure the best way to go about that, other than stud finder and pray.
