I think the "field trial" has already started, and people here are using the HR21 now, since the software (redh.com/dtv/index.php?r=HR21) is out there :grin: and being updated? Or is that wrong thinking? I've just been waiting for them to break their silence, like the people that had been using the H21 for however long (how long was it anyway...?). :sure:

I'm going to go out on a limb hoping that nobody has a saw. I'll bet the HR21 is and HR20 with DLB and VOD and we'll all have to swap hardware to get it. :D

I hate it when a new generation of my hardware comes out.

Everyone hates it when your hardware has a new version.especially when its just a year since the "old" was released. I'm hoping the HR21 is a pile of junk entry level DVR so they keep the HR20 as flagship receiver for a while. Who knows maybe we will make another jump of 10 and Get an HR30 for the next main flagship?

The HR20 will still be the flagship HD DVR. I hope the HR21 will do well... It's basically a scaled down version of the HR20.
