Question regarding my 5lnb dish

In the attached picture it looks like there is room to put more lnb's. does anyone know if that the reason for the vacant area?

The reason we have been given is that it is for cosmetic reasons only. Sort of to balance out the LNB assembly to make it look a little bit more "normal". Some here initially thought that there would indeed be additional LNBs to attach to the slimline, but no one has seen any evidence as of yet of any LNB add-on modules. I wouldn't expect there to be any use of the extra space there at all in the future.

I had an LNB fail and when it was replaced the tech left the bad one. I was curious and cut it apart. It is all assembled with a good quality silicone sealant and a razor knife worked quite well to cut it up. Most of the base that the horns are attached to is filled with circuits and what looked to me like frequency filters. The space is put to use.
