I stumbled upon this website a few weeks ago and find myself reading the threads daily. A lot of great information here. I was wondering if someone could comfirm my thinking. I have the TotalChoice package on D* with OTA locals. The locals are out of Dayton Ohio. I will be doing some traveling and will be spending a lot of time in the Toledo Ohio area. I would like to still be able to view my local news from the Dayton area while up north. If I read the spot beam maps correctly, I should be able to pull in the Dayton locals in Toledo if I take my receiver with me and have a dish that points to the satiellite that the Toledo locals are beamed from (should be the same satellite as the Dayton locals are beamed from). Am I correct in my thinking? Sorry if this question is redundant.

Toledo is on 72.5 Dayton is on 119, so they're not on the same bird.

Welcome EZMoney!
Shouldn't matter if Dayton and Toledo HD locals are on the same sat. The question is whether or not the Dayton spot beam extends to Toledo. And I have no idea about that.
If Dayton is on 119, look at your transponder strengths on 119 to figure out what transponder you're getting the channels on. Then, maybe someone from Toledo can check that transponder and see if they get a decent signal on it. If they do, you've got a shot. If not, no dice.
