Short question:
Is there a way to "turn off"/disable Tuner 2 on an HR20-100S ?

Reason: I replaced a DTC-100 with an HR20

Reading here, I decided not to rip the siding off the house to run a 2nd cable, with the projected availability of the SWM solution sometime this year.

With the original software, the unit functioned flawlessly.

Since the 0x168 general release, many channels decide that they should be received from tuner 2 - which has no cable attached!. With a lot of flipping back and forth, or manually entering the channel number after tuning to another channel, I can eventually get the thing on the channel I want.

This is driving the wife crazy - and I'm tired of hearing it.....

Any help greatly appreciated (while I wait patiently for SWMs to become widely available....)

You should be able to reset the recorder from the setup menu. As it boots up it auto-detects how many SAT feeds are connected.

You should be able to reset the recorder from the setup menu. As it boots up it auto-detects how many SAT feeds are connected.

I've done several reboots thinking that it should work this way.
A couple from the menu (as prescribed in the sticky), one RBR and one "pull the plug".

The problem remains.
