I have a question. Is it ok to put in gold connectors on wall plate? Will it help my signal? Would like your thoughts and experience.:)

Ok to put them on, sure. Will it help? Most likely not. You'll have better luck with a high quality cable & connectors.

No, gold and monter are two over rated and over hyped things. A $20 HDMI cable from monoprice will look just as good at the $100 monster cable.

Gold is actually a worse sonductor than copper. Silver is better than copper. They use gold as protection from "whiskering" or crystal growth in micro sized parts. Gold makes no difference in "F" connectors and swounds expensive and emotionally desirable. There is so little gold in the plating taht it is worth two cents or so.

For rf connectors silver is a more desirable plating used in military and aerospace hardware.

1) benefits of gold connectors in a residental setting > retailers makes more money
2) benefits of monster cables > retailer makes more money
3) benefits of MOV based surge protectors > they usually stop fires (after one year they become power strips)

That’s very interesting, so where do I get silver connections, or would it matter?
