cut over to a spanish programing pack and you will get espn deportes, or add the service for 19.99 per month. as far as i know, those are the only options.

What pack in 19.99? My dad has been bugging me to get the Spanish programming. I have Premiere right now and I can't give up ChillerTV. How can I add the programming for 19.99 and what does this programming include?

Copy and paste this link (you'll need hi-speed internet)
espndeportes.espn.go.com/oly/panam07/popupVideo?s=1
and the problem's fixed! Note that the feed is only active while the PanAm games are being played.

For the add-on fee, you basically get the correspending number of Spanish channels available to the level of programming you subscribe to. Since you have Premiere, you would be getting most, if not all, of the Spanish channels that you would get under the Spanish Premiere pack. I had trouble when they added ESPN Deportes and it was blacked out to me eventhough I had Premiere + Spanish pack. The only CSR's that could fix the problem were the ones at DirecTV Para Todos.

And I wouldn't lose any of my channels right? I spoke to a CSR but they didn't know anything about it, I might try and call the Para Todos CSR.

as i recall i ended up calling one of the para todos reps also. 19.99 and it adds on all the spanish channels along with the spanish music. personally i think it is a great deal.

No, you will not lose any of the channels, hence the "add-on" fee. This would be similar to the Asian and or other ethnic add-on packages that they offer as well. The package name is "EN ESPANOL" and you should call the Para Todos CSR line.
Maybe it is just grandfathered into my account, since I have been a customer for over ten years, but I receive all the Spanish channels with the Premier pack.
I had to remove all of them from the channel list on my HR10 to prevent suggestions from being recorded in Spanish.

...do you get ESPN Deportes? I thought I was grandfathered too (i.e. new spanish channels were always added automatically in the past) except when ESPN Deportes came out. I had to change to the En Espanol pack to get it versus whatever package I had before.
I just checked. I no longer seem to receive it. I may have been thinking of the Spanish version of HBO. That I definitely do receive.

You would normally NOT get HBO Latino under the english Premier pack nor even if you just subscribed to the HBO pack. If you get HBO Latino, then you are subscribed to the "old" spanish add-on package. If you are paying for it, then you need to upgrade to "EN ESPANOL" by contacting the Para Todos group. They are the only ones that offer this package (as I couldn't get the regular CSR's to fix it for me). The incremental charge is $5 more than what it was before @ $14.99 per month; the new pack includes more than just ESPN Deportes (e.g. add'l XM channels etc.). If you are not being charged for it, then you run the risk of losing it or having to start paying for it if you call to ask about it.
